bonus day: how do you know it’s love?

The trouble with you is… You don’t seem to understand what love is about. You young punks go to the movies a couple of times do a little necking and you think you’re in love — Bob

love has been subverted in so many forms that these days it would be a miracle if you recognize it, even if it hits you in the face.

pop culture has gone into two extremes — on one hand, love is the sacred thing in the whole world. you would be lucky if you ever feel it in your lifetime.

on the other side of the coin, resides the banalization of the same sentiment. love is nothing but a small fire that sparks with a kiss; ends up in the bed and then you repeat it with different people.

right now i could be a pseudo-intellectual and tell you that the truth dwells in the middle. i would be lying, though. i have no clue where the truth is.

i know from my own experience that love is more than kisses, intercourses, and ardent emotions. it involves a friendship, monotony, a lot of monotony.

you will hurt each other even without intention. and you will forgive because you want to keep that person in your life.

maybe love is when you look at her doing nothing, and you smile because you know how lucky you’ve been — after all she made you a better person.

or it could be the certainty that you would gladly give your life in exchange for hers in case of destiny one day present this choice.

i don’t know, it could all be love… or something else completed different. like i said before, we lost the capacity to recognize it.
